20 million children worldwide – more than 1 in 10 – missed out on life-saving vaccines against diseases such as measles, diphtheria and tetanus in 2018, according to new data from the WHO and the UNICEF. Data showed that an additional 1.5 million deaths could be avoided if global immunisation coverage improved.
