Responsibilities:
- Perform role of global licensing manager/software asset manager
- Point of contact within IS for queries, request and escalations
- Focal point for vendor audits
- Accountable for providing credible summarised data for license usage, installation software audits and operational optimisation
- Management of inventory data collection activities
- Provide knowledge and guidance on vendors software licensing programs and maintenance options
- Provide guidance for software procurement strategies
- Drive cost savings through effective license management
- To work closely with the relevant IS functions to ensure all operational processes relating to software compliance are maintained and reviewed
- Regularly track relevant service measures and report accordingly to drive continuous improvement of vendors and RB internal resources
- Stakeholder alignment and expectation settings
- Escalation Management of risk areas
- Process documentation update and creation, including SOPs & policies
- Providing direct communications to global IS teams and guidance for user communications
Skills & Competencies:
- +3 Years SAM exposure in large/complex organisation, or similar exposure gained in consultancy/vendor background
- Knowledge of license processes and SAM tools
- Knowledge of Vendor licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, VMware etc)
- Ability to produce robust process documentation
- ITIL Certified
- IAITAM Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
- Solid understanding of typical wintel, and infrastructure designs including virtualised environments
